Lily Leaves Successfully Completes 4th Batch of Advanced Women Tailoring Training in Sarlahi

Bagmati Municipality - 4, Jiyarat, Sarlahi | July 2026

Lily Leaves is proud to announce the successful completion of its 4th Batch of Advanced Women Tailoring Training in Bagmati Municipality–4, Jiyarat, Sarlahi District. A total of 16 women successfully completed the advanced tailoring course and were awarded certificates in recognition of their dedication and hard work.

This training marks another important milestone in Lily Leaves' mission to empower women through sustainable livelihood opportunities. By equipping women with advanced tailoring skills, the program enables them to earn a stable income, become financially independent, support their families, and create a brighter future for their children.

For many participants, these newly acquired skills represent much more than employment opportunities. They are a pathway to restoring confidence, dignity, and respect within their communities while contributing to Nepal's growing skilled workforce.

Beyond Training: Supporting Women Entrepreneurs

Lily Leaves believes that true empowerment does not end with skill development. It begins when women are able to transform those skills into sustainable businesses.

Following the successful completion of the first three batches of advanced tailoring training, Lily Leaves distributed tailoring machines to graduates to help them begin their professional journey.

For women who wished to establish their own tailoring businesses, Lily Leaves went a step further by providing 100% financial support to establish tailoring boutiques under the name "Paribartit Mahila Boutique."

To date, Lily Leaves has:

  • Successfully completed four batches of Advanced Women Tailoring Training.
  • Empowered dozens of women with employable tailoring skills.
  • Distributed tailoring machines to eligible graduates from previous batches.
  • Established and fully funded six Paribartit Mahila Boutiques.
  • Covered 100% of the boutique setup cost.
  • Paid six months of shop rent and electricity bills for all six boutiques, allowing women entrepreneurs to focus on building their businesses without the burden of initial operating expenses.

This holistic approach ensures that women receive not only technical training but also the resources and support needed to become successful entrepreneurs.

Empowering Women, Protecting Nature

Since its establishment, Lily Leaves has carried forward two core missions in parallel: Women Empowerment and Environmental Protection.

While one initiative creates sustainable livelihoods for women through skill development and entrepreneurship, the other restores Nepal's biodiversity through urban forest restoration, native tree plantations, environmental education, and conservation projects.

By investing in both people and nature, Lily Leaves believes that sustainable development can only be achieved when communities are economically empowered while the environment is protected for future generations.

A Future Built on Opportunity

The completion of the 4th batch is another step toward creating stronger families, more resilient communities, and a more inclusive economy. Each woman empowered today becomes an inspiration for many others tomorrow.

Lily Leaves remains committed to expanding its women empowerment programs across Nepal while continuing its environmental restoration initiatives, creating lasting social and environmental impact for generations to come.
